This must be a stupid question but what is the significant difference between the HVX and the DVX. They both shoot 720 progressive lines. What is it that makes the HVX of high definition quality?

Is it that it keeps the 720p lines in a 16:9 frame whereas the DVX keeps it in a 4:3 frame?
:dankk2:

HVX is HD. The DVX Only shoots 480 progressive lines. its the second of the two resolution numbers that is the "lines".

DVX: 480P SD
HVX: 1080p, 720p, 480p

Plus, the HVX has multiple varicam capibilities.
