Studio Production Workflow

Putting together a little video studio using 3 P2s. I want to output HD either 720 or 1080 directly from the cameras into a computer or server, don't need to switch live as I want to archive all angles for posting later. I will however need to monitor all feeds.

I will have 1 Duo-Core and two X-Serve servers with many many TB of available storage.

Here are the questions:
What is the best method for streaming video output that will allow/preserve HD 24fps?

• Firewire (no 24N output)
• USB
• VGA Component
• S-Video

You can stream 24p (not 24pn) over firewire and use FCP to capture. I believe it will strip out the redundant frames on the fly. You would need a dedicated system for each camera. At the same time you could send the signal from the D4 component output of each camera to individual HD monitors.
