Strictness of rules

Just want to know how strick we should be with the rules - if a short goes overtime do we deduct point, not care, or is the film not eligible?

Same for any of the other rules set up for the contest. Are we being strick or just enjoying the films and rating accordingly.

I dont really have a strong opinion - just wanted to see what the powers that be say.

I don't understand...if Barry S and Jarred post the movie, then I assume they feel it fits within the criteria of the contest. I intend to simply score based on the merit of the content and not worry about niggling details like whether the film is 6:02 instead of 6:00.

Just my $0.01 9/10

I don't know if it's just me... or my media players... but i'm getting some jumping/serious artifacting in a couple of the films, making them almost unwatchable. I'm going to try a couple things to see if it's just my computer, or what, but the one i just found would be The Man From Hollywood

I'm pretty sure one of them was meant to be that way. The blocky MiniDV artifacting, right?

i think if the movie is way over like more than 5 sec over. i think it not eligible

I agree. And, the only one I saw that long was We Are Not Alone... it was like 7 min and some change.

No, the films are actually jumping, part of the shot about 1 full second in is overlapping with parts of the shot a second behind... making the film about as useless as lint until the problem is solved.

POSTED ELSEWHERE:

Jarred posted the my DVD version instead of my 6 minute version. What am I supposed to do? I don't want this to screw up the voting!

I already PM'd Jarred about it. In reality though, my credits are 1 min 30 sec.

I also started a thread on this topic.

but your film is six minutes and TWENTY SECONDS BEFORE the credits.

We've got to get Jarred to get your correct length up because that's too long and you will be in contention for the top three based on your films quality.
