FEATURE: Stricken the Feature - A Matt Sconce Film

Thanks Brandon. I am quite pleased with the final look. Today I am going to be testing out a Blu-ray 1280 by 720 24p copy and a DVD copy and several different televisions to see how the colors and contrast etc look on them. I will be taking the Blu-ray down to Best Buy this week or next to test parts of it on the plasmas and huge screens.

today. The future is bright! Our new production company is gearing up for completion of STRICKEN and the preproduction of our next feature THE PARK. After that, and God willing: MAGIC...

Then Stormbreaker and Nodes and Darkpool!

... And WHITE... and our Scottish Highlander film, REDEMPTION.

I hope I live to see that one... What a cool concept; a real actor's screenplay and a blockbuster of a story. The final battle scene will be wonderful. Realistically, WITH SEVEN SCREENPLAYS to film, at two to three years a pop, I will be very old by then. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Let's get going! :kali:

For me at least, you guys are the epitome of independent film. You are doers, not simply talkers. You're out there working hard on your vision, and never settling for anything other than the very best you can do. And while your at it, you're prooving just what stunning work can be done outside of big budget and studio films.

There are others on this sight too with the same zeal for film making and it's been a great inspiration!

What a great series of shots....the big man popping up from the daisies is another CLASSIC!!
I hope we dwarf Paranormal and Crush the Human Centipede and Outwit Blair Witch...so
Richly Deserved!!!....hmmmm...IFC bought The Human Centipede and obviously was
gunning for a Blair Witch or Paranormal type gigantic return....note who is involved as
sales reps and distribs on all the disproportionately large return microbudget releases guys

MATT and COMPANY... congratulations on finishing VFX!

Can't wait to see the finished film!!

Sadly,I am just finishing the final edit on Finding Hope Now we are getting ready to lock the cut and start VFX. I am VERY excited to get going on VFX and Audio.

Grabs look sweet. You guys rocked this one out. Having kept up with this, Matt your dedication to getting this done has been inspirational (as others have said). I really like your small crew model, which is the way I always work, but I figured a feature wouldn't be possible like that. I'm so glad you proved me wrong.

Great to hear that Mark! Don't be sad... Knowing you the edit is fantastic and well worth the time you put into it. :kali:

That Amulet is going to be a collector's item!!

Yup... (Shhhh... ) :Drogar-Happy(DBG):

We just finished the 4th bluray check. The tweaks are narrowing down to only a few minor things we are really being picky about. But, we will change them all until we have no more little things we want to change. Because we...

Never Settle.

We are totally...

Stricken.

Well, I was trying to figure out a way to get my cast in Stricken attire for the Festival and other showings and I decided to make a store they could buy Stricken stuff from. I then went on to spend way too much money in there myself. haha. Oh Well, fun stuff and memories and inside jokes. Hopefully many of my Stricken team will soon be sporting cool stricken duds. This is definitely not a good way to make money, just a way to get garb in their hands. I am a SUCKER for the mugs.

I can attest to the quality from Cafepress. I used them for some of the pk shirts in "Leap". The colors were vivid for one washing, then gradually faded a bit. However, once they've faded slightly, they stay that way, unlike iron ons which continue to flake off. Cafepress digitally prints directly onto the fabric, pretty cool stuff.

Just read the entire thread (read: journey). Wow, amazing to see it go from zero to here in a year -- and to have a form of documented progress is just awesome inspiration!
Learned a ton. Thank you, Aftershock Studios for making Stricken such an open journey!

Provided you have a Gary - I was going to say "or equal" - but after reading this I'm not sure there is one . . .

Best wishes to all.
