I cannot speak on the details at the moment but the owner of the RED is a pretty cool guy and it will be fun to meet him and have him on set.
 
Funding is sooo close. We are waiting to hear back on which of the three interested investors will be the funders. We will start shooting in January 2008.
 
They wouldn't do it for me, and I reposted it about 3 times, then my friend who has "The Magic IMDB touch" posted it and it was up the next day!!! Amazing! I have no idea why but it might be that because he has worked on a 2mil feature he has clout? I don't know. Maybe an editor saw it and said, "what the heck let's put it up." I wish I knew why. It could also be because the same info came from two sources, so that kind of confirmed it. Also before it appeared I sent a link of it's registration with the WGA so maybe that is why. haha I am confused but happy. :-)
 
UPDATE: We should have a decision by the investors by the 10th. We are also pursuing other options for funding. We need to have the funding in the bank this month to be able to shoot in January.
 
Well here's hoping its all good news for you. This has been a great thread to read. Thank you for sharing this whole journey.
 
Glad to hear this is still moving forward, hope that funding comes through quickly.

Are you shooting in the Central Valley, or going elsewhere to shoot? If you are staying in the Central Valley, is the mayor (I'm assuming it's the same mayor, the former TV actor, right?) going to be involved at all?
 
I crossed my eyes and someone slapped the back of my head, and guess what....mom was right! They're stuck that way now! :grin:

*sighs* one investor just fell through. The investors wanting to give 480,000 are still deciding and another opportunity has just opened up to get funding. You can uncross everything if you need to get some work done. If not, keep em crossed!

Crossing for ya, man... Any particular Gods i should offer prayer to or can I just pick my own? I've got an extra goat and might offer it up for ya too. :)
