Stricken-Matt Sconce

Well, I have now submitted Stricken to 5 horror festivals and one short festival in Malibu. I have also submitted to Sundance in the US Short Category. Fun times! They are about to show some of Stricken on the news here in Fresno! :-) Woohoo Things are exciting.

Cool stuff Matt! Please keep us informed on how the investment stuff goes. 50K is definitely realistic. We're about to shoot our first serious feature for a budget of 50K as well. I think a Stricken feature could be great. Would love to read the script when it's done.

Thanks! It looks like I have a Producer Jennifer Tadlock, attatched to Stricken with me. She has a contact who can get the funding and is also a distributor. We will see how this goes!

We will be attempting to attach some names shortly. The budget may go up if one of them Bites. Feature Script is 30 pages away from being done.

It looks like we might have David Fine be one of the leads in Stricken.

I am sending them the rough script today and we will see what they think of it. hopefully they will like it and attach. after that the funding will be a hop skip and a jump away as they are waiting on name attachment. So far so good!
Next comes storyboarding, location securing, and budget breakdown, then we send the package of all of that to the investors.

Let me know how that goes Matt... we're currently working on attaching some names to our feature film, for the purpose of investors and even distribution later on. Let us know and thanks for these awesome updates!

Mackenzie has done some great work including the Halintons which is one of the "8 Horror Films to Die For" being released one by one to Blockbuster. She was April in Rent.

David Fine fought Will smith in the Pursuit of hapiness, Stole Keanu Reeves jacket in Sweet November, and was in Rent as well. He has a great look for our detective.

Excellent news bro! Tim will ROCK THE FILM!

I agree! He has a pretty sweet rig to work with on this too, including a Foveas Remote Follow Focus, the P+S Technik Mini35 35mm Lens Adapter, Zeiss Superspeeds and a Glidecam V-25 Steadycam.

Update: We are finalizing the budget tonight so we can send our actor offer letters and also send our final presentation package to the investors.

Wow! I was up until 2:30 am yesterday finsihing the budget with producer Jennifer Tadlock. It is sitting at 450,000. It is a nice low feature film budget for theatrical release. We send the package to our investors on Saturday. Wish us luck!
