Stricken-Matt Sconce

Okay, so Timur sent me an email and I agree, We will not shoot this on the HVX200. We will shoot this on the HPX500 with the Pro35 adapter with Zeiss Nikon Mount Lenses....and......we are buying it all not renting it...and....I get to keep it! I think I shall now go and pass out. :-)

Oh hey theres a thread!

I though it was a secret.... i wa being all hush hush.... lol.

I am proud to have been offered this oppertunity, its not often a young DP gets to shoot a feature with a respectable budget.

Wow, that's some serious bank. Congrats. What made you decide to go with the Zeiss F-mount lenses (i'm guessing you're getting the 25,35,50,85) than a huge set of used Nikon primes (15,20,28,35,50,85,135) for about the same price? I just ask because I've been weighing these two different options as well.

Good luck on the project

All actors are attached! One role is double attached for now and we will do a read in a month in L.A. to see who gets the role.

Good news on getting Timur on board, he'll do a fantastic job. And great news on the HPX500, that'll be fantastic (and if you need someone to "babysit" your HVX, I'm available  )

Seriously, congratulations...looking forward to the finished product.

I just sent the pro looking Portfolio containing the budget, budget vs. income, Synopsis, Actor Bios and Resumes and Key positions Resumes, Concept art and Storyboards, and Script to the Executive Producer Dr. Farr. Here's Hoping we get the funding we need!!!!!!:engel017:

I just got a call fro Dr. Asad Farr (The executive Producer I sent the Promotional packet to) and he asked me to come up to his ranch studio and observe the movie being filmed there. He wants to meet me, and that is a good sign! Perhaps he will invest the money for the film?

Okay, the LOIs are all almost in my hadn and I have reworked a Business plan per the investors request. The package is about to go out to them for final approval. If approved, First draw should occur shortly with our budget standing at 477,000.00. :-)

Nice chunk of change Matt... you should be able to do a really good film with that. Read that first draft of the script btw... will be interested to see how you interpret the visuals and pacing of the film :)

Wow, congratulations on the news...really enjoying watching the process.

Now I just need to get you up here to find some funding for me ... I'm only looking for $20K, should be a piece of cake for you after this

Good luck on the project.

Wow, Matt, congratulations! This is such cool news!

Out of curiosity, how did you justify/address the purchasing of camera equipment versus the more standard rental to your investors when that obviously represents a pretty big chunk of your budget? I'd be interested to hear about that and any other details you care to share about the package you sent out.

Hope everything falls into place smoothly for you guys!

These investors will hopefully invest again, and again, and they will save MASSIVE amounts of money in the long run if we buy now vs. rent everytime. They never brought up the isuue, so I believe they understand this...which I am VERY grateful for. Also it turns out we may be shooting on the RED camera now and I may aquire one through this film. :-)

In the spirit of STRICKEN (I shared everything...probably too much during the Horror fest contest) I will share the package formula with everyone.
