Strange noise reduction..!

Hi,

Yesterday I shot a footage in our room. With 500 watt light spotted on the celling.
There were still noise even at -3db gain. Well I edited the footage with After Effects using iMac. I realised that when i use the CC Wide Time effect all noises stopped moving. So they were static. However there were effect on the footage. Is it possible to stop moving noises without giving that effect?

Well one more thing is the render time. When I export movie to Quick Time it takes ages to export. Are there any other good / easy / quick ways to get final result? Especially some effects takes ages to render

This applies to people starting in Premiere but it moves to AE so I hope it helps.

You can select and area of noise and tell the remove grain feature to use that as a sample for the rest of it. I do this on every scene and then re-import them into my Non Linear editor.

Noise Removal Tutorial:

Step one, Export from Premiere Pro 2.0 in Uncompressed Filmstrip format for After Effects. Step two. Import into After Effects. Drop into a 23.976 composition. Set the composition several frames beyond what your clip length is. Apply Remove Grain. Change the viewing mode to final output, instead of preview. Fiddle with the Noise reduction slider under the noise reduction settings. Try to get a mix between the most detail and the smooth picture. If there is a ton of noise in the background that just seems to not go away, bring the slider down to about .2 and then enable temporal filtering. Set it to 100% and bring motion sensitivity to .9. Observe the results and then play with the noise reduction slider again until you achieve the look you want. It will make much more minor of a difference when temporal filtering is one, but it does help.

Output as an Uncompressed Quicktime or AVI format. NOT as a filmstrip again. For some reason if you export as an uncompressed filmstrip, it stretches the clip and makes it stuttery.

I hope this little tutorial helped!

I don't have premier pro 2. Do I need it? Can't I apply this directly to the quick time footage? And this is soooo slow even on an iMac 2.44ghz 4GB RAM
