C100: Strange duplicate files?

I shot some footage today of a Holocaust survivor. I recorded onto both SD cards simultaneously. While all the footage was intact, when I put it on my Premiere CC time line all the footage was duplicated, sometimes triplicated... the files numbers/names were all different 00001, 00002 etc. nothing seems to be missing but why would this be happening?

Almost certainly because you didn't import using the Media Browser function. Bringing in AVCHD by just dragging clips to the timeline is the wrong way to do it, and causes problems exactly like what you're experiencing, especially when clips span over 4GB in file size. Only ever import AVCHD footage through the Media Browser and all the questionable behavior will disappear.

I imported them right into the project window which I guess was wrong. I just tried importing only the video files from the SD card onto my hard drive without the AVCHD/Stream etc. folders. This actually worked, all files lined up correctly. But I will certainly use the media browser next time. Thanks Barry.
