C200: Strange Banding issue when recording to CFast Card on Canon C200

Over a dozen times on a Blackmagic camera, but I've personally never seen it on any Canon camera.

Seen something similar on 2/3" cameras in the past. One case I recall was one of the boards had to be reseated along with making sure the board connectors were also well seated.

Chris Young.

I saw a similar looking issue in a review (can't remember what camera). Lines showed up in heavily shadows, do to the sensor lines being used for auto focus detection.

Did you use a nd filter or were you riding the shutter hard? Most likely somethings wrong with the camera. I don't own or use the c200 so take comments with a grain of salt.

This could very well be the issue as a slightly disconnected CFast reader/bay in a Blackmagic produced the malfunction in my use case (IIRC).

Only the internal ND Filter.

Is it possible that the CFast Card was not seated fully?

I doubt it...they click in and are held tight. Which cards did you use?

Was it under hot conditions? This was filmed when it was about 98F. Later the camera was fine and filmed raw with no problems.

IDR, but the URSA cameras never had any heat problems. Especially the big one which had refrigeration liquid cooling.

Sandisk Extreme Pro. And now that I think of it, the issue also showed up on the SD Card. Must be more of an intermittent camera issue.

Were all of your issues filmed in a cemetery? Perhaps we could call this ghosting?? : )
