I shot some footage with my HPX170, and have many times before and thus did the conventional method of exporting to two Lacie TB hard drives via a FW400. No problems. Now, my express card slot on my Dell Precision M90 is somehow broken, and there is no way to get mu duel adapter on. Is there a way to get my P2 footage straight to a hard drive from the camera? I followed the book in doing that, but it keeps saying "Initial Firewire Problem" or something like that. The hard drives are formatted to NTFS because I am using PCs only, and the footage was shot in 720PN. Is there an adapter to get to replace the EC slot? Can I capture to hard drive? Do I have to get my slot repaired? Please help...Thanks.
