FS7: stop FX9 media full warning ?

I just recorded 2 full cards on my FX9 just to test how long my battery would last and as soon as the card filled up it started flashing a "media full" flashing light on the outside of the camera as well as the VF and really annoying it also started beeping through the speaker and it will not go off aa long as that full card sits in the camera . I could turn off the audio warning signal in the audio out menu but can't stop the flashing. If I pull the cards it stops but iff i put it in again it returns.

Anyone know how to stop this ?

Couldn't find anything in the menus and don't remember anything like this on other cameras. Very annoying. Is this something that was standard on the FS7 also and I never noticed it before?

spanned clip I think. actually Im mainly concerned about it beeping loudly when a headphone is not plugged in. Anyway to separate the ext speaker from the headphone level?
To be honest this freaked me out in the morning when i was half awake and thought only one of 2 cards had been recorded on. When I realized it was both it seemed more possibly normal behavior.

This does sort of ring a bell with the FS7. Not in front of a camera at the moment and it could be quite different on the FX9. Check the VF (Viewfinder) menu for a sub menu called "Notice Message" or something to that effect. Try turning that off. There is also another VF sub menu called "Media Status" but I can't recall its exact function. It might involve either one or both of those settings. As I say it is only a bell, a distant one at that, ringing in the back of my mind from the FS7 menus.

Len just admitted user error.

The camera was full and telling him agressively.. as designed.

Yep the 7 does kick in the warnings loudly an annoyingly - to me the beep is loud enough with headphones on that it could still get onto the track being recorded - its too much but it was there on the fs7 too.

On the 7 with one filling card the alert is annoying across the middle of the screen but it is silent 'will switch slots soon'

Mea Culpa. While i was half asleep I thought I had bricked the camera. Took me awhile to calm down when I realized I was just tripping. :)

So there is nothing to be done - business as usual? Oh well the rest of the day was productive anyway
