Stolen Alert: 7d/18-135 in NYC

Figured I would throw this out there. My 7D was stolen from Amity Hall on West 3rd and Thompson this tuesday night. A co-worker was shooting stills of the private event we were putting on and set it down on a table for a minute. It was gone within 2 minutes.

The camera was like new, with the 18-135 kit lens attached (thankful I didnt have anything else on there.) Beware of anyone selling a 7d with nothing but the battery, strap, and 18-135 with no uv filter and no lens hood (both were in my bag).

Have you filed a claim with them before? I'm thinking about moving $20k of equipment into a cargo van and want to get it insured, but Renter's say "no" because it's business equipment. And car people say no for the same reason. Only other place had a minimum policy charge of $2500/year.


To OP, that really sucks man. I hope you get it back, if you have the serial numbers you should post that in your first post as well.
