To see how well your ghetto cam works we would need to see some of the same footage without the stabilizer.
I can post an example of my Indicam system with and without stabilization on dropload.com if you would like. That way you can see what I'm talking about. I would need an email address from you so dropload can let you know the footage is available for download.
I also expect to have the newer footage on my web site as soon as I can send it to my web hosting service.
You will notice as you work on your system that you will get better and better shots. Then you'll work on it some more as smooth video is in high demand and isn't easy to get.

I had something like that but made from 100% wood, except the screws. ;D
