With proper technique, a $350 Glidecam 4000 will give you the same performance as a $20,000 Steadicam Flyer. I know, because I use both at work with HVX200 and HVX200A cameras.

I build one of those cheap "steadycams". I made a big sled so you could put a larger cam on it. It works ok, but I don't really like those things. Makes my arm tired!
