steadicam?

Was thinking of picking up this little camera as a companion to the HMC150. My main use would be for steadicam due to the HMC40 being so light!

Which steadicam/stabilizer do you think would be best for this light camera?

I think you could get by with a very small lightweight DV consumer stabilizer.

I'm also looking at the same thing.

It weighs about 2.16 lbs without xlr audio.

Merlin might work, but is pricey

I'd like something outside of a tripod, but man those pics look bulky. I jump in and out of UTVs all day, so the monopod works okay, but still not near as steady as a tripod or probably one of these either. I'd have to get a cheaper one though, for sure. Wow...

I wonder if the Bogen Modosteady would work...

How do these things work? I've never seen one in use, but handlheld pretty much sucks, so I'm all ears to steady out the camera without having to use a tripod.

Most use a gimbal type of grip that "floats" the well balanced camera with weights. A quick youtube search should net many examples of steadycam.
