Steadicam One Shot - Music Video (Canon 5D)

Yes great job! ... you were using a remote FF I assume? and how many times did it take to get it right

Very Nice !

I'm glad to see some people are actually still shooting music videos, outdoors and with some sort of creativity. I love some of the green screen videos out there but it seems that's all people do anymore.

Great job.

Dug that. Watched it three times.

Might cut to one more close up of the girl's face cutting him dead though. Devastate him.

Audience outside DP's aren't so interested in # of cuts.

(I must admit, I was searching for a cut)

Well done.

Really like this....very creative and done in one shot.
That is a great advert for the 5D for video.

You only had the girl in frame for 12 seconds????? What???
You need to let her sing a song and film a video with her in it.

I love 1 shot music videos, they somehow get you very close to the artists and can be much more catching than usual videos if well done - like this one! Great work!

I'm a little too aware of the camera at times. There's something missing with the performance of the acting/choreography of the additional actors. Love really long shots and overall looks pretty cool.

Easier

Great job.

Its just a lot easier to have a controlled environment (lighting, props, cars, noise ect...) vs outdoors where anything can go wrong. I do both but there are a lot more variables outside...

I guess I'm outside the norm on this, but I don't really feel the "one shot" approach added anything to it. If anything, I feel like it took away your ability to get really intimate with the actors/performers and direct attention to and from various elements.

I liked it a lot and as a Steadicam FlyerLE & 5DMKII owner, I'd like to know how you set that up? What remote FF did you use?

I just filmed a short feature in Pittsburgh and attempted to use the 5D on the Flyer, but the weight was way off...even with 2 Anton Bauer batteries! Great job!
