I just placed an order for the XDCAM Ex camera. I wonder what kind of steadicam/glidecam, if any, I should consider buying. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

The Steadicam Pilot is probably the best option if you arnt' flying many accessories.

If you are going to be stacking on a little more stuff, then the Flyer might be a a better option.

Don't know if it'll fly on the Merlin ... how much does the camera weigh?

Thanks for the quick response. I'm guessing that Sony XDCAM Ex does not weigh anything more than 8 or 9 pounds unless other accessories are added to it. Last time I read somewhere, it said the camera weighs about 5 to 6 pounds.

Do you have any merchan recommendation for the steadicam pilot?
