Starscape /star trail time lapse attempt

final star trail image.jpg

I had a second attempt at shooting a starscape time lapse. I took advise from last time, such as shooting with a wider lens (18mm instead of 50mm).
I am aware the time lapse video is very short, I want to back out tonight and do another star time lapse because I really enjoy producing them.
I also put together a startrail photo which I am fairly proud of.
The flicker on the tower is from cars driving by, I am not sure if I like the flicker, but I guess it adds character to the image.

Your composition is very nice indeed. Get that flickering smoothed out and they will be great.

Went out again today, quite a lot of changing sunlight as you can see from the shadows in the video. I didn't get any flicker though as I twisted my lens off

you could grab an ND grad filter for those landscape shots like the last one, or even a polarizer could saturate up those sky colors

Apart from it being very short again, this is probably my best star time lapse attempt. I feel I am ready to start shooting much longer time lapses at night now

This was my first attempt at stars. Hard to do from my condo, since there is a lot of light pollution. Love all the time lapses posted here!

Im trying to set up to film stars also with my GH4.

Can I ask you how do I set these up? I only just bought my GH4. Want to figure out also how to adjust shutter speed to 25 seconds.

Thank you
