Some guy bought a DVD of Revenge of the Sith in Shanghai that had hilariously messed up subtitles.

I do not understand how an English title sequence can have english subtitles that don't match. You literally just retype the words you see.

It's pretty funny, but very hard to understand how anyone could mess that up.

ok now I clicked the link ...yes it's bootleg but a very special one ...looks like the bootleggeey was dissapointed in the orginal version and felt like he'd
do us all a favor and spice things up !
 
You got me excited, I thought this might be the long-awaited Red Letter Media review of Episode III.

They probably just fed the file of the Chinese subtitles into a translation program and had it spit out an Engrish version.

I really doubt that some of the translation have some deeper meaning for example : "He gets bigger and bigger !"
 
I was in China when Quantum of Solace was in theaters here... and you could buy it on the street for $1... it even looked like a "real" DVD... so we bought it and proceeded to nearly pee our pants laughing at the subtitles. Every woman was addressed as "wife"... no matter who Bond talks to... if it's a female, it's "wife".

Transporter 3 was almost better... because at one point a figure stands up in front of the camera and walks out... never to return to that seat... "my thoughts exactly dude".

These Star Wars titles are pretty darn good... I'd rather watch this then the original.
 
I in China, when comforts Quantum in the theater in here…, and you possibly buy it even to look like in it look like " $1 streets…; real" DVD…So has bought it, and continues to urinate nearly our pants ridicule subtitle we. Each woman takes " to the lecture; wife" … no matter whose bond conversation to…, if it' s female, it' s " wife" . Because the chart stands in front of the camera, and never walks…Returns to that seat… " , the conveyancer 3 are nearly is better…; My accurate idea dude" . These star war title is quite good… I' Rather d wristwatch this then original.
