Star Trek: Picard & Discovery

I'm sure season 3 is exciting but I'm not subscribing to Paramount+ to find out. I am a cord cutter, refugee from Comcast, DirecTV and others. Picard Season 2 is available for free on Pluto but you said it is awful. There is so much compelling free content now, Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies, Lol..

Here's the chart of IMDB user rankings for each episode in each season of Picard. I'd say this is pretty accurate.

Well, you could buy Paramount+ for a month for $12 and then cancel. Watch the show within that month. Heck, they give you a one week trial for free - you could just binge it then.

That's what I do -- I churn. Even if I wanted to shell out $100/month for every streaming service available, I wouldn't have nearly enough time to watch it all.

We get HBO Max for free through our ISP. We get Amazon Prime for shopping anyway. We're on the $2/month Hulu Black Friday special. And then beyond that, we usually subscribe to 2 other services at any given time. I get Paramount+ when they have new Star Trek to watch, which is most of the year since they currently have 5 Trek shows, though that number is about to shrink. Then we get Disney+ or Netflix or whatever, but usually just only one.

I had Disney+ for several months over the winter. I watched a dozen Marvel movies, Rogue One and Andor, and some other stuff. I was watching the Mandalorian but I was bored for the first few episodes so then I canceled the subscription.

Aw, they had a little tribute to Nichelle Nichols at the end of the Season 2 premiere of Strange New Worlds that just aired

Did anyone else catch the finale of Star Trek Lower Decks? I thought it was one of the most satisfying series finales I've ever seen. A perfect blend of fan service and new story that made all the right choices. Pitch perfect tone.
