FEATURE: Standing Firm - A New Feature

Sales on DVD have gone amazing since the August 24th release...and more and more people seem to finding out about the movie by the day. We're closing in on 55,000 fans on Facebook with thousands more showing up every week.

Small beginnings when this thread started here in 2008, and now closing in on 2011...things are going far better than I ever would've expected.

One added benefit for me personally is…When I think about buying another camera or some other expensive attachment, I pull out my “Standing Firm” DVD and watch it. Thanks Brandon :) Yea it seems to be making it's way around to people. I can't wait to see what other kinds of comments come in as time goes on...a recent testimony came in from The Netherlands:

Advertising had a good day today...our fan page on Facebook increased over 5,000 fans in 24 hours. Woot! :) Also because of that saw our Amazon Sales Rank go from #7000 or so to under #3000. Very good day!
 
Haven't updated this in a while. We've grown to over 145,000 fans on Facebook with more people finding out and eventually buying the DVD. We've gotten rid of quite a few units with what looks like a very effective first year for this little movie. We'll see how many total units we've sold by Aug 2011. Looking forward to doing another and seeing what kind of story/message to do next. Even with the film out for over 6 months I'm continuing to market it on a consistent basis and finding us holding strong on most retails lists. We were #1250 on Amazon.com earlier and we seem to stay in the Top 15 of "Religion" all the time. Very cool!

Such a long journey to get it finished. I'm still amazed that it's on a shelf somewhere.
 
I saw it on the shelf at a local Christian retailer in Alabama. Congratulations! Have you guys been able to turn a profit?
 
Yep we've been in the profit arena for a while...technically. There are some things to pay out still but they're not by contract and they're small. I'm guessing by Summer/Fall we'll be 100% in the profit area of things. Since the company and myself were the main financial contributors I did good so at least I got taken care of well already and continue to. It makes me feel like a REAL filmmaker for some reason, I don't know it's still new and fresh feeling.
 
Kyle, good to read that everything's going so well.

Kind of mirroring Drew, it'd be great to get some info on your FB marketing plan and, beyond that, what the movie's distribution method is doing for you. You've gone a different route, it'd be nice to hear some details from you if you're willing to become vocal about them.
 
BIG NEWS:
Thanks to FilmBuff, a distribution company who's been working with Edward Burns recently on his films Nice Guy Johnny, and the upcoming Newlyweds...coming December 6th, STANDING FIRM will be available for rental on platforms like iTunes, Amazon, PS3, XBox and even Cable!

Very excited guys...DVD has done well...this is a whole new world. Early 2012...tackling TV. Who would've thought years ago when I started this thread that all this would be happening. :D Feels good...feels good...
