FEATURE: Standing Firm - A New Feature

I saw your film this weekend. nice job. wife enjoyed it too. XH-A1 can get the job done. Congrats. Also loved the DVD Xtras.

Kyle you have had awesome success. Will you ever write something about how you distributed your movie? It is very inspiring and would be great to have a sticky or a summarized post on your path. I know not everyone can re-create your success but at least it would be great to have something to aspire to. Many thanks.

Standing Firm hit Redbox 169 days ago on April 24th and is still doing well. Lots of new ratings/reviews available on their site and it ranks #16 in their Top 20 for Family movies without an MPAA rating. I can't believe it's still available!

This is insane. 38 weeks later the film is STILL at Redbox. 267 days now. It's bound to be pulled soon, but that's incredible. I got word a month ago that as of late Q4 they'd rented each disc about 16 times which is above their average of 15 for a typical release. I guess that tells me why it's stayed for so long, but it blows my mind.

Awesome. Congratulations

Kyle, this is something to be proud of. As we all know, serious distribution at our level is near impossible, and you have accomplished the near impossible! As for it being a bit embarrassing being your first feature and out there for all to see, well, the fact that it got distributed far and wide says it all. Distribs and viewers liked it well enough to pick it up, and that is what counts.

341 days later and you can still find it at Redbox. :O It's not in as many, but the fact you can still find it is nuts. Just got word that Walmart might be a possibility in July. Working on the details of that at the moment. It'll have released in the Christian market 3 years this August. The longevity of this thing is just crazy...

Hope to shoot my second in the fall, before my wife has baby #2. Got a lot of work to do. It's insane to think when I shot this last one, 35mm adapters were still being used quite a bit, the 5D MKII had just barely come out, and I was single. Time flies...

Congratulations on this one. Will you be shooting in GA?
