Hi, folks!

Thought you might like to see a promo video we edited from a tap-dancing school performance we shot a while back.

Here's the link for those of you watching on an iPad:

Shot with one GH4 and two GH3 cameras, the Lumix 14-140mm lens, SLR Magic 25mm f/0.95 and a Canon B4 mount lens (8-128mm). Everything was shot at ISO 800. Audio was recorded directly into one of the cameras (I think a GH3) using a Tascam DR-40 as an XLR adapter plugged into the theater's sound board.

I am loving my GH4, specifically when using the Canon B4 lens because the focus peaking makes focusing MUCH easier with that lens.

Let me know what you think! :cheesy:

Why surprised the gh cameras have always looked better than everything else.
Oh, I know! It's just surprising because of the low price. People (including myself) drool over cameras that cost $5k, $10K or more, and yet some little GH3 & GH4 cameras can produce fantastic results. I'm just happy. :)

Looks awesome dude! I don't know if you tried to match color of the cameras, but they all look close to me!
Thanks, Daniel! The footage is straight from the camera, no color correction of any kind. The GH4 and GH3s look very similar when they're all shooting on the Standard look. The trickiest part with filming a live theatrical event is the changing lighting. Trying to maintain good exposure when a spotlight suddenly turns on, or when a bright wash of light floods the stage is challenging, to say the least. But I'm very happy with the results we got with this show.

I don't know. I think every part of the production chain plays it's part. You can't fix everything in post.
Without a doubt, image quality is important. But in my opinion, it's way farther down the list of things that matter when watching a movie than editing, or sound, or acting.
