stabilisation

Hi,

Apologies if this has already been answered but although I can find several threads discussing possible options for stabilisation - none of them seem to have any input from the Red team themselves.

Has there been any solid information as to wether any form of image stabilisation will be built into either the Red or its lenses ?

No. What we can do, in the future, is look at putting motion sensors in the camera that record into the metadata so you've got the information to remove shake and wobble in post.

No internal image stabilization in either the lens or the camera.

I did get a response from Stuart English concerning this:


"...As for image stabilization, there are no suitable optically stabilized lenses available at Super 16mm or 35mm, but we do have the concept of attaching external motion sensors to the camera body so that we can capture this as metadata for use in post production."
