sRAWs much darker on Mac than LCD

this is a weird one I have never come across before...

I shot a series of 30-second exposures the other night for a timelapse.... on the LCD screen they all look great but on the computer, in Lightroom, PS or the finder, they all appear much darker. Ie. no matter how much I crank them up (even, say, 4 stops in Lightroom) I am not seeing any of the detail I can see on the LCD... I have popped the card back into the camera and can still see what I expected to see on the computer so I am extremely baffled.
any suggestions are appreciated.
 
not sure if this helps or answers your question but try see if the image looks as dark on a pc monitor. To see the image in its truest form you need a field monitor. Colour calibration on mac is different to pc's and is know to crush blacks or darken images because of the way it omits colours on screen. Try quicktime pro options on lightening up image.
