Is the "squeeze" mode HD? I know it doesnt shoot 720p or whatever but size wise is it the same? The reason I ask is to know if I got an hd handheld and wanted to do a 2 camera shoot with my dvx and that camera would i be able to cut between the two without seeing a difference in SIZE of the picture?

what do you mean uprez? So if im cutting between the two, one will look "wider" then the other? If its a matter of one looking better then the other thats fine. Its just the size of the picture im worried about

Yes, the HD footage would be all around bigger than the SD footage. You could use a program like Instant HD, or you could simply scale the SD footage up to HD size. You'll lose some quality, but it'll still look decent.

but squeeze is 16/9. and so is hd, so they should be the same size. i think they would be the same size. 16:9

They're the same ratio, but that's not the same size.

Every square has the same ratio (1:1), but there are lots of different sizes of squares . . .

Does a handheld HD camera exist that has the same size picture as the dvx or will i have to "uprez" the footy?

k I watched the video on Instant HD (how to do it) and it didnt look like it filled the HD screen. It will fill the screen though right? What i mean is, I will be able to cut from hd to "sd" without it "jumping" sizes?

Ya you will be able to do that. You can do that now even. Open up your squeeze footage in say a 720p timeline and upscale it so it fits. Its not going to look very good, but it will be the same "Size".
