i just found this on a super elusive blog about cameras.

it's the newest replacement to the t2i. for those of you thinking of selling your 7d for a t2i, i think you should hold out. it looks awesome.

Is there a 4K version as well? :2vrolijk_08:

[Calomile]

Anywhere I can get just the body only?

[Ryan Farnes]

Scarlet killer.

[Rick Burnett]

I think this thing shoots 16K 4D video. I think it's called the Canon Avatar 2!

[J Davis]

Weather proofing is off da hook !

[Alpha Beta Omega]

WOW! That's a wide aperature

[Rick Burnett]

It uses new light transfer through lens technology. It actually produces light at the quantum level. It's an F0.2 lens

You have no idea what you are talking about. Plenty of PROFESSIONALS like myself will make use of this camera in PROFESSIONAL productions.

Can't wait for Barry Green and Phillip Bloom to approve this.

[John Froton]

I wonder if it has aliasing issues?

[Jay Rodriguez]

Is that a PL mount? hah

[Ethan Lane]

WOW! That's a wide aperture

that's what she said

[Calomile]

I dunno about you, but I don't like people looking at my apeture.

I can't wait for Barry to shoot some test charts. Any bets on how it'll stack up against the 7D, GH1, HMC40, and (maybe) the RED One?

I have a feeling that this will be the true game-changer. No aliasing, no rolling shutter, bulletproof codec, super ergonomic, and even more camouflaged than any other DSLR for no-permit shooting. Though I suspect that it'll have a harder time passing the Kiefer test...

[rhervag]

wow i can already see whole custom rigs and steadicam systems built around those bodies...

[andythefilmer]

Just got mine today. The video is incredible! 4k video, dual XLR audio in, PL lens mount, 100% viewfinder, 25 MP full frame sensor, variable frame rates, all for less than a dollar! It even has a mini fridge and handgrip warmers! I also just got a Prime Lens Set: 28mm, 50mm, 85mm, 105mm F/0.0001.
