Spy Master

You can do that, Chuck.... I'll let you! :)

I do hope that you don't see any of your lights in the shots!!! (I did my best to keep them out of frame!)

So bummed about your film. I'm glad that it is still in production. Really looking forward to seeing the story come alive!

........back to the dance recital (yippie!)

Oh, by the way....

I made a poster (since Larry required it! )

Great BTS stuff- I'm digging the car set up and the jib set up- nice! I'm looking forward to watching you film- should be a good one.

BTW- the 2nd / 3rd week of july should work well. Just keep me posted when you firm up the dates, and we'll schedule a dinner or two. :)

Thanks Ryan! I definitely had fun with this shoot. I learned a lot. That was my goal and I feel pretty proud that I accomplished shooting a film with a vehicle as the set. (wow........ not easy!)

I will certainly let you know about our travel dates. Really looking forward to meeting the Pacific Northwest DVXusers!

Thanks again for the comments. (I can't wait to see your work. I love your cinematography.)

Hey Ted, fun poster! I'm trying to catch up on everyone's threads now to see who actually made it in, since I was shocked to see so many people not being able to make it across the finish line in time ... I'm SO glad to see that you got yours in!! Congrats & looking forward to seeing it!

Now, what's this about you coming to the area the 2nd or 3rd week of July? Am I purposely being left out of the loop? :undecided Wait, maybe I don't want that answered publicly, lol.

Durring the last fest, I had mentioned to Ted that if he were ever out this way, I'd make him my steak. So, now there is a possibility that he'll be out this way around that time. If it works out, I'm still game. :)

As for leaving you out of the loop, well, we tried to keep you from finding out by being super secret spys and posting our intentions on an online forum. Now that you've broken our secret code and made it into the inner circle, I guess you can come too .... :) LOL - JK of course. (There are no hard details yet, but as they develope I'll let you know. If Ted is up for it, maybe we can arrange for acouple other people to show up as well.) :)

Hmm, we'll have to have a cook-off ... your steaks vs. my ribs at high noon. Bring your sauce & be ready!

LOL!!!

(While I do like your ribs- I'll take a steak over ribs any day.... :) )

Anyway, back on topic- I'm looking forward to seeing this film tomorrow. Thanks for the great thread. :)

The beer is already included - Norm's ribs call for something like a 24 pack to marinate in ... :)

Spymaster - Theodore J Arabian ........... (uploaded - approved)

Excellent. Looking forward to it now after all the BTS clips, etc. Thanks for sharing all that with us. Don't know how you still had time to light all those stump speeches.

hee hee.... thanks for the encouraging words here, guys!

Norm.... Do you not read your own thread??? I am certain that my conversations of visiting the Pacific Northwest are littered throughout your thread. I talked about it quite a bit!

Regardless..... Yes, man. I am planning a trip to your neck of the woods. My wife and are planning a cross-country journey with Oregon as the "u-turn!" I hope that you are around during the time I am there. (You better be!)

Thanks again, guys!

Really looking forward to watching some SPY FILMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theo! I just watched your flick, was the very first one to watch, and I was glad to
see how much you've improved as a director. Your interior car scene came off
better than I thought it would, so kudos. Also, I got my name in your credit! woo
I felt so special, thanks for that.

So you know, again, my beef is the lack of stalking, preying, suspense that comes
with spy films. I know you wanted to keep it simple and I must say, your "Frack,
Fracky, Frack, Frack" joke leftoever from "Threading The Needle" that just tore me
up something fierce.

I think she was about to fall out of her blouse, so pay a little more attention to
wardrobe. Also, if she's wearing blue, then have your other character contrast that
color so that they don't look like twins.

Your ipod use was clever. The opening sequence I liked with the titles, though I think
I would have toned the redlight buzzer just a little, sounds a little harsh.

I look forward to seeing what you can do on a multiple locations shoot. keep
up the good work, Theo.

Wow. Thanks a lot Charli.

I know that you told me this story can't win in festival and I understand your point. Action films are on the horizon for me. As you know, I really wanted to focus on a couple of elements to improve as a filmmaker through stages.

Thanks for watching and commenting... and for the use of the VidLEDS! (and warm socks!)

-Ted

(btw - the F! F! F! joke is a carry-over from my first fillm I.D. not TTN. :)

Crap - you're right. Still, the "do I have to say the F-word" did carry over to that
dramafest film. Potty mouth, lol.

ok mr frack i was like hes gonna say it .. hes YES frackity frack I laughed... so was it nme who talked you into particle illiusion?

Your inside the van shots where great... i was having huge problems shooting inside to outside as you will be able to tell when you check out the flick.

back later.. film time

Ted,

Nice improvement over the rough cut you showed me. This has a much better use of the extreme cu's on Audrey. The added info about (possible spoiler) the leak, makes what's happening much clearer. Also the fx clarify some points.

I have to compliment you on the ADR. You are right it was tight. I had a blast the day I came up and I am sure we will work together again soon. All and all a great accomplishment for the one man band that you are. Good for you!

Jim

Thanks man! Yeah, I knew that I would take hits on the zooming business. I was exploring and experimenting... and once you've got it shot... well, you live with it! :)

Thanks for checking it out!

-Ted

Thanks, Jim! I had a blast working with you as well. I am sure that we'll have more op's in the future!
