I saw an SR3 Advanced on Ebay the other day with like $3900 as a buy it now. I miss those cameras too. So easy, compact.
Back in '97 or so when I was an AC in Indianapolis I worked a couple Colts games as a loader. Vaguely fun loading film on the sidelines, even though I couldn't care less about football. One guy was even shooting an old in-house Arri 16M for some reason.
In particular, I remember the NFL Films guys were so chill and nice, had drinks with them later. They told us stories of the multiple Rank telecines in-house, and the multitudes of SRs and Arri IIIs NFLF owned. I thought it was so wacky and cool to be self-contained like that.
