Spiderman 2

Re: Spiderman 2

I'll send Sam an email telling him we want more quips!

...and less Goblin...

Maybe Goblin Jr. will get mad and destroy the original one and create his own...of course in the comic it was spandex and cloth, so...maybe not :)

Re: Spiderman 2

The movie was good, the story, etc...

But there is one thing that got me thinking. If that magnetic field was atracting all the metal, why didn't it attract Dr Octopus tentacles?

Anyway, the film was good, but I thought the first one was more entertaining. A lot of more action.

This one, on the other hand, was focusing on the love story between MJ and PP.

All the best

Re: Spiderman 2

the tentacles aren't metal. Infact thats the whole point of the generator. You have to somehow explain why Doc Oc has these rediculous tentecles strapped to him. Supposedly he can't stick his hands in there and no metal. Ta da he makes weird robotic arms. Then they explain the neuro- straped into his spine- thing because he needs more than 2 to constantly keep the... whatever they are... plasma blasts at bay.

YAY, now his robotic arms seem perfectly logical  :P ::) hehe

Re: Spiderman 2

Then what is the name of the substance used to create those tentacles so strong that were able to destroy metal?

Unless it was composed of a substance that wasn't attracted by a magnet. But that looked metal to me.

Films do cheat a little bit and we just forget about it.

Take T2, for instance, the scene where Arnie was explaining that he had a neural-net processor, which was read only. If it was read only, he wouldn't be able to learn anything. And he learned a lot from the kid, didn't he? That doesn't make much sense to me, but hey, the film was great!

Re: Spiderman 2

I dont remember what the substance was (does he say it?)

In T2, don't they explain that part? I know that there was the deleted scen where they open up his head to turn the learning part on, but i thought there was somepiece of dialog that kinda made the rest make sense. oh well

It has to be! There is no other explanation. ::) ;D

Did they mention it on the film? I don't remember.

Re: Spiderman 2

Spidey 2 was a pretty good movie. The only problem I had with it was the constant blood-curdling screaming with screaming women running right up to the camera and screaming into it. Tho it is Raimi's style, I didn't think it was befitting of a Spidey flick.

Even if they were trying to make it closer to a comic or cartoon, it didn't fit the spidey comics at all. I think the first one handled this much better.

Re: Spiderman 2

Whoaw i definitely protest against this commercial madness. This movie i saw yes ok i went with grandpas and friend and sat through.  I laughed at cheap drama unnecessary in the plot of  "spider man".  Cheap lines such as Kirsten turns and says "you have changed.." at that point the illusion of reality was completely murdered. I looked around and started laughing. Again, i laugh at the effects heh where every little piece of cgi i could point out on the spot. I laughed at the amount of people this film attracted. Though i do understand the audience this was aimed at so maybe i am in a wrong theater here. Just thought this was another comic gimmick producers ate off.

Re: Spiderman 2

If you're laughing at comic book movie conventions, AND the people who enjoy them, then why are you wasting your time

a) watching the movie in the first place, and
b) posting about it here.

Insulting people (laughing at the people it drew in) isn't going to make you many friends...

Ha! Mike! I soooooooooooo wanted to say this! But then I realized perhaps he doesn't care if he's liked or not, so I chose to ignore him. :-/
p.s. I've got your back. :)

Re: Spiderman 2

Aww come on i can't believe you are taking this closer than it is. Criticizing films is what we do. Maybe i am a bit too harsh for which i appologize. Forum is a basket of point of views and yes ours collide and that is it. And thinking i was laughing at you is completely ridiculous. Laughing at the amounts of people (box office gatherings) links from the fact that i do not expect so many for such film. Who has my back ? Let's have ourselves a fight club!
No bad looks.

Re: Spiderman 2

hahaha right on...I've just met enough people who *do* mean to insult (not here, until recently however) that I got a bit testy. No hard feelings either! It just came across to me as more of an insult to the people who liked the movie than a critique, thats all.
