It says 'Striclty' sound. Rather than 'Strictly' sound. In reference to the topic of these threads.

Damn, I didn't notice. And to think that that was there the whole time...

It's sorta like those optical illusions or mind tricks where you're completely fooled when you first look at it but go "OOOOOHHH" after you look at the answer.

I just looked directly at it and I still didn't notice.

One of my pet peeves is words mispronounced on a national show... or the wrong version of a word in an otherwise proper sentence in a newspaper or national magazine. Spellchecker has replaced proof-reading... so we now have magazines with circulation in the hundreds of thousands... with 3 or 4 grammatical errors in every issue.

I do notice those.

OK Matt, heres one for you.

In the sentence "There are three "twos" in the english language." How do you spell that "two"? See English isn't totally a "written" language...;~)

What is it called when "its" is used instead of "it's"?

The first one is a form of possession and is also considered gender neutral. The dog wagged its tail. (One of the few times a possesive doesn't get the apostrophe as in Larry's car.)

The second form is a contraction depending on tense can be used to represent 'it is' or 'it has' both then take the form it's. ie. It's been a great day. (Shortened from 'It has been a great day.')

So what's next. Getting people in the community to recognize how to use 'there', 'their' and 'they're'?
