VINTAGE SPECTRA CINE PRO LIGHT METER with ORIG. ACCESSORIES

I'm the original owner of this Spectra Pro Model P-250/P-251 meter serial number 1622.
Bought it in 1966 and have used it on umpteen shows since then.

It uses a Selenium photocell (no batteries required) and has been dead accurate from 16 footcandles on up. The meter was tested to assure accuracy several times at the original Photo Research facility in Burbank.
They replaced my original Weston movement with the more accurate German REX movement used in the P-251 around 1969-70.

The original case along with the flat disc and reflected light disc are in excellent condition (never really used them much; they have been stored since new). The slides are in fine shape with their original pouch...the tab is missing from the ASA 16 slide.
The meter itself is in very good shape with slight wrinkling of the photosphere which doesn't affect it's performance.
I've used it recently to determine working ISOs for various video cameras and to check light levels when scouting locations.

The field belt case is well worn from all the years of use. It does, after all, have a notable history with lots of character. It still works fine despite it's "vintage" look.

A classic tool for cinematographers. $60 shipped in the U.S.
