I'm not quite sure if this is posted, but it probably is, I would just have to read...if it is, I'm sorry for double posting.
I just got an HVX 200 and am having problems getting a straight answer about how to import from the p2 card to my computer. I know that i need to download drivers, but I am not Positive about which ones to use. So basically if I can get a straight answer from someone on this site that knows the camera that would be great. Here's my setup.

I have a Dell Inspiron (E1505) with Adobe CS3.
Not the greatest for what I'm working with but whatever.

I would like a link to the site with the downloads I need to make this work as well as what settings I have to set the camera to for it to be recognized by my computer. (Via firewire or USB whichever)

I'm not familiar with the camera yet so the more information the better, I know this is a great camera and as I am becoming discouraged from it I would not like to be.

Thanks

Just thought I would post so you didn't think you were being ignored. ;-)

Oh, by the way, I'm not a PC guy so I can't help you out.

Good luck,
Jim

I use the Duel Adaptor to copy the P2 files to HDD on my PC, then use Premiere. Never done it any other way. To just copy P2 files, I think you have to use USB, and I don't think you need drivers. Might check the manual.

hmm, See, I bought the camera used and it did not come with any manuals...I'll try to contact Panny or something..

Yuo can get the manual online. With CS3 you need at least v3.1 to import the MXF files. With a PC, you should be able to use the USB connection.
