Well, Spec-Comm has an order from me for 2 cameras, p2 cards, dolgin charger, batteries, etc.

They have been just awesome. I placed the order Friday. My certified check is on the way to them as of today.
I just wanted to let you guys all know how great they have been.
They have stayed in contact with me regarding the availability of all of the equipment I wanted, and in my opinion have done so in a manner above and beyond, what I would normally expect or receive in terms of customer service.

And by the way, they have the lowest price that I know of for the hvx200 from a legitimate, authorized dealer - now 5299. Check their website.

So, everything looks to be going great, and as soon as they receive my certified check they will be shipping my equipment and providing me with a tracking #.

I will give a final update when I receive my equipment, but I am not expecting any surprises, at least not of the negligent sort.

I 2nd that. Got my HVX from them too, and was pleased all the way around with the transaction!!!

I bought my Firestore from them. No probs. I will be picking up a 2nd HVX this month, and plan on getting it there.

A couple of "out of sight" and you are good to go.

I'll second and fourth. I think I got my camera around the same time as Can last month. Jasmine Reed is nice to deal with, and they won't take more than a few hours to correspond with you. The certified check business made me a little nervous (you don't write a check for 5k everyday) but everything turned out fine in the end.
 
Just to add to the party, I had my DVXs stolen a few years ago. I did get one back that the police recovered. It was badly damaged. Sent it off to Spec Comm, they gave me a quote, which was true to the dollar, kept me informed of the progress and returned my wayward little panny to me in top operational condition. Nothing but good things to say about these guys!
 
Yay. Hopefuly this level of service is going to translate over to the cineporter too, huh? I think, there is not too much to worry about there. We can have faith that we will at the very least have a solid product, when it is released, a type of product that is innovative and that you can't get anywhere else, and it will be backed by a great support system.

I will third or fifth the glowing review of Specialized Communications. I ordered my HVX from them a couple of months back and just ordered the Dolgin charger / battery set from them. Great customer service! :thumbup:

And like everyone else, I can't wait for the CinePorter to grace our presence.
 
Well, I have received all my stuff from spec-comm. Everything is as expected, and I received a follow-up email from them verifying, that I got everything and that it works properly.
