FEATURE: Space Pirates - Puppet Movie

Here the debut film by Haus Brothers Records. Adam Haus produced, directed and composed the soundtrack for it. The Movie was made solely for the enjoyment of film making and turned out to be tons of fun. Comments Welcome!

Summary
In a galaxy, a group of aliens are sent on a mission to save their planet from a black hole, upon arriving at their destination, an asteroid collides with their vessel causing the crew to crash land on Earth. The aliens live undetected for decades until one day a dog finds their home and takes their book. Their only chance at getting home resides within the book, but the aliens cannot read.
With the help of two friends, they read the book and find a treasure map. Will they pull off the heist? Can they fix their ship and save the galaxy? All while the Agency searches for the downed vessel.

Almost 1:30 of credits at the start of this?? You gotta be kidding. There are whole clever, witty, snappy and amusing shorts that are less than 1:30. Put that tedious stuff with obnoxious music at the end, so people don't have to wade through it to get to the meat. Sorry, I didn't last past the credits. You want to engage people, not turn them off. So engage them. 1:30 of mind numbing titles up front is not engaging. Best of luck!

No reason to be sorry, Thank you for the honesty and comments! it is very helpful.

It's pretty static and slow-moving. Then again, I do mostly experimental documentaries with diegetic sound, so who am I to judge??

I didn't watch all of it, but I like the concept, it's got some funny parts and I think kids would love this.

"Oh No Campeee!" I'll admit I can't watch the whole thing while I'm at work (Didn't pay attention to it being an hour long until I pressed play), but I'll say for the parts I saw it had some humor. It's the type of thing I would have expected to see on like "Mystery Science Theater." I think you should be proud of what you've done. I like the explosions and some of the other creative things. Could it be better, sure. But you're learning, just like we all are.

I like the character design and some of the small things you tried to do like with the lens flare. If you want to play around, more with this project. I'd encourage you to rework your sound design. Not that I can't hear it or anything, but just because it'll teach you a lot without much work. Try to do different things with the audio. For instance, a guy told me a long time ago in order to have a Hollywood hit (like someone punches someone int he face). He'd take the sound and triple it. He'd lay the sound on three different tracks, then on one track he'd boost the treble on another he'd boost the bass and the final he'd leave alone. He explained this was a great way to get the sound to go through all parts of the speaker. so I've used this trick and several others over the years to make my sound better.

So I'd encourage you take your sound, footage and just play with it for about 2 months before you start your next project. Learn how you can clean up things, fix things, and even improve shots and other items. Learning is worth more than anything.

Have fun
