Alright, I bought myself the NTG-2, and I'm very pleased with it's quality. The only problem is that it only plays on the left side when I upload it onto my computer, rather than stereo (meaning both sides). How do I fix this? I bet there is a simple solution to this.

In Adobe Premier you just select FILL LEFT (or right depending on where the audio is) from the audio effects. But I don't know about other NLE's.

Is it recording to both channels? In other words, when you connect the mic to the camera's input, do both meters bounce in your LCD screen?

If using one mic only, connect it to input 2. Then, using the controls located under the flip-out LCD, set both channels to record from input 2. You'll want to set the second channel to record a few dB lower than the first, as a safety in case of sudden and drastic peaks.

When you go to edit, you'll only want to use one of the channels, panned center.
