Sound Filter for FCP

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know a plugin in FCP, any kind of filter that can transform the low res crispy sound of the D90 mic to a 24 bit stream with no noise and crystal clear?? And with a beer coming out of the speakers?

Yeah well, just something to make the sound better... :dankk2:

Garbage in Garbage out I am afraid. You may clean it up slightly with eq but it will never be perfect.

How hard did you take the news about Santa? You did get the news about Santa??? You'd better sit down....

What about a plugin to simulate 5.1 with mono sound? That exist for pro movies (an old techno now), but is there such plugin for FCP? Actually the old DVD remastered in 5.1 where pretty amazing... I'm sure there must be a way...

like that movie:
TEN COMMANDMENTS (http://www.filmfreakcentral.net/dvdreviews/tencommandments.htm):

"This has become standard practice for Paramount, The Ten Commandments' soundmix has been remastered for DVD in 5.1 Dolby Digital sound. While this does little to enhance the tinny quality of Elmer Bernstein's marvelous score (be sure to listen to the overture before the main event), the climax of the Red Sea sequence thunders nicely, as does the moment in which an old woman is nearly crushed by stones. Some whipping winds and crowd noise also fill the room at times, but again, this is not a refurbished soundtrack on the order of Vertigo. I will definitely say that the standard Dolby Surround mix also available on The Ten Commandments DVD, which I sampled briefly and by accident, falters--dialogue sounds much clearer and the soundstage is much broader in 5.1."

Your talking about a Hollywood movie that had sound recorded in the best possible way for the time. Which was probably analog reel to reel on a nagra. Which is far superior to the D90s mono capabilities. Like I said the best you can hope for is finessing the EQ to make it acceptable for your application.
