C100: Sound Drops on premiere pro

I recently got my C100 and realized that when editting on Premiere cs6 the sound drops while playing on the timeline. Once you pause and play again it works for a few seconds and then drops again. Anyone has the same experience. I researched this issue and alot of people are stating that its an AVHD issue. Anyone with a workaround it

This happens occasionally to me, like once or twice an editing session. But the sound comes back almost instantly. Does the sound stay muted for you?

not for long but it does have alot of mutes in between. What type of hard drives do you use and what is your configuration

Nothing special. I have two workstations. One at work and one at home. The work one is an HP Z800 with 28Gb of ram, an ancient GTX 285 video card, and one Xeon 2.4 GHz processor.

The other is this monster: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227432

Both have very basic hard drive set ups: One has a 500GB hard drive as my OS system disk, and the other uses an SSD. Then in both I just have Black and Green WD drives as my project drives. No RAID or anything.

I've never had this happen to me - so not endemic to PP - sounds like a computer issue, and I use external USB2 drive frequently with no transfer speed issues. I'm running CC on a number of machines from brand new to five years old and none have this problem.

thank you for the information drummondb

So I guess its not my hard drives? I use external Hard Drive with USB 3.0

Actually, I've never tried to edit on an external USB drive, 3.0 or not. Most would probably counsel against it. You might experiment with editing a project with all assets on an internal drive and see what happens.
