Sorry

Standard Disclaimer: I've yet to see a bad film so far in this fest. Congratulations to every film maker, everyone did a great job. All my comments and criticisms are meant to be constructive and helpful and in no way am I trying to take anything away from what you accomplished.

Good: Good script, very funny twist, didn't see that coming at all. Great locations and good chase sequence.

Not as Good: The home scene seemed kind of bland visually after using alot of CC during the rest of the film.

Sidenote: Has that lead actor acted in any hollywood productions? He looked very familiar.

I'm glad you enjoyed the film. Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, Vince (the Spy) has done dozens of TV show including playing the Invisible Man in the Sci-Fi series The INVISIBLE MAN. I always remember him as Fun Bob on that episode of FRIENDS and The Former Football Jock in ROMY and MICHELL'S HIGHSCHOOL REUNION. Kevin Chamberlin(the Hitman) has done tons of Film and TV also. He was last seen on HEROES. He is now shooting a series for LIFETIME and in the Fall will headline on Broadway in THE RITZ with Rosie Perez.

Yeah both did a great job. The way you held on him so not to reveal that he screwed up too soon was great. The timing was perfect on that along with his expressions.

But then how will I pay for the production of the movies and all the new equipment? Man, I need to win the lottery... that would take care of it right there....

What you need is a ticket to the WSOP... oh, and one for me too.

...

Come on!! Doubles our chances!

Yeah, I recognized him and the guy who forked over the money. I don't think this
is a spy film. I do however think it was a clever piece without dialogue and I'm not
much of a fan of stories without words, cut out the "I'm sorry" dialogue and the
film pretty much stands on its own just like that. If you are that far along without
the spoken word, why mess with it? Nicely done.

Very impressive. Looked brilliant. To have a film with no dialogue apart from one guy say the title at the end make total sense you must have done something right. Very entertaining.

Only bit i thought was suspect was the bit where the guy holds the usb key up as he walks through the corridor, why did he do that?

Wow. Another great entry.

This one really impressed me. The music was perfect. The acting was strong. A good story (and yeah - saw the end coming along with everyone else, but who cares). But the visuals were beautiful. Really, really nice. Crisp.

Very nice job. Well done, and thank you.

I agree. I wanted it to be subtler then that, But I was trying to do it all in one Steadicam shot. I wanted to get across that this Flashdrive was important. Thanks for the kind words.

JOE

I haven't been able to read much lately, but I just wanted to say that I really liked you short. Great job!

care to share any info on your budget, securing locations, getting high profile actors?
BUDGET: The budget was originally under $1,000. I got lucky by meeting Mike Halper. He already owned all of the equipment to shoot and edit the film. He DP'd and edited and did an amazing job.

LOCATIONS: I ripped off the locations of the Downtown skyscrapers scene with the buyer and the underground parking structure. We got lucky They were shooting Rush Hour 3 right next door, so no one paid any attention to us. The other locations were my house, The Editors Guild (my Sister-in-law works there, and a Storage facility in Long Beach that a friend of mine runs. I didn't have to pay anything and I didn't get permits. I was very lucky.

ACTORS: I make my living as an Actor and these were all friends of mine that helped me out.

I can't wait to get a camera of my own, but I've had a great experience working with Mike, John Hermann, and Aram from these boards.

Not sure it really could have been done any other way. It's a bit on the nose, but it's the simplest way to show he's stolen something. We could have shown him actually downloading files or something, but I think it would have been too much for the flashbacks. Plus, I think it shows a little bit of satisfaction... like "I got it" or "another mission accomplished" or something like that. That and I just like the shot even though we're not seeing all of it.

Eh, who needs a camera? I got one right here!

I'm glad you were satisfied with my work. You did a good job directing as well. For not knowing each other prior to this project and just jumping in and shooting I think we worked pretty well together. That's always something to worry about and I'm glad it wasn't an issue at all with this one.

Thank you so much! The Music is perfect isn't it? It's one of my favorite things about the film. What is amazing about the music is that there was someone else scoring the picture from the start. He ended up flaking on us on the last day, with 8 hours left till we had to turn it in. He just didin't turn it in. He kept stringing uas along and blowing off deadlines. We finally got an email telling on Thursday telling us he wouldn't be hurt if we hired a different Composer.

Luckely for us, when he didn't meet the Tuesday night deadline, we contacted Hoong Bee and she composed all of the music in 48 hrs. She was amazing and she totally saved our film.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Mike, I had a great time working with you. I hope to be able to do it again soon.

haha great job, the assassin that made the mistake did a great "oh crap, my bad" face. And I see you are a PrideFC fan lol.
