AC130: Sony Vegas and AC130 Workflow

Hello all,

I'm assuming that because of the AVC codec that I will not be able to simply drag and drop clips right into the timeline. Does Panasonic supply a converter software with the camera that will make it easy to convert the files into a Vegas-friendly format? What will my shortest workflow look like from shooting to editing.

Also, one side question... How is Panasonic's warranty? Are they usually helpful, timely, and fair with their extended policy? How does it compare with Sony's(the one that comes with an NX5U for expample)?
 
Last night I dropped footage from the ac130 and hmc150 right into Vegas. I mixed them both together. There was no difference for me, it all worked fine. I am using Vegas 9 right now.

On my camera, it says register now and get 3 years warrenty. I think most people are happy with the support, but I never had to call. I have a little problem right now, and my rep said he will replace or refund my camera. I will go with replace.
