Sony TRV900 tape compatibility w/ HVX200? & Where to buy HVX?

I've shot a lot of footage with my Sony TRV900. However, I need to sell it to put the dough towards the HVX. Anyone know of any tape compatibility issues with this combo?
I've had issues in the past with things such as this.

Also, any tips on where to buy an HVX? B&H?

No offence buddy, but how much do you think you can sell the TRV900 for?
Man, just keep it as a tape deck, selling that old horse just won´t cut it...

DV is DV .. the HVX in tape mode will play back anything the TRV900 can record.

And TRV900's do have value, it's still my palmcorder of choice. Best small camera Sony ever made, shame they stopped making it.

Though that value might be more apparent in use than monetarily.

$800 Is what I got for mine on ebay. I did the exact same thing. Sold the TRV900 to put towards the HVX. I think I paid about $2000 for it 10 years ago, so not too bad considering.

I haven't had much luck with the cheap camera as a tape deck option. I get dropped frames all over the place when capturing in FCP. I used a Samsung miniDV I bought from Sam's club for $180 and it was promptly returned.

OK,
didn´t think it would still score that much, 800$ is defenitely nice to have when saving for a HVX...

TRV was a great little camera. Did a lot of corporate work with it and played hard with it in it's day. It's still serving me as playback to this day.
