Pretty good , but sadly it suffers from moire issues like the A99 does, I only wish it had the option of an All-I codec and a flatter profile like Canon C100's "Wide DR" mode (and no moire of course)

But otherwise it's not bad for something so compact

There's some moire, but it doesn't seem like a dealbreaker. The floor grill at the beginning of the second clip would look a lot worse with my old T2i.
Philip Bloom is playing with one right now, let's see what he concludes.


Also, it was nice to watch: I was right there last summer!

Yep I've seen that video from your Vimeo channel (found it cause of your Flaat picture profile styles)
Can't wait to try out the RX1 though, it comes to stores on the 12th December here

Ask him ! haha The only thing missing is a wide angle adapter for the RX1 so that you could get some wider shots on it if needed (when there's not enough space to move backwards)

Big news here, in Steve Huff's part 2 of his review of the Sony RX1 - http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/2012/...-for-camera-of-the-year-2012/#comment-217315I read this : "BTW, I have been asked if this puts out uncompressed video through HDMI and i have confirmed through Sony that yes, it does."

So that means it has the same clean 8 bit 4:2:2 HDMI output as the A99 and VG900

What are the specs on the RX1 HDMI output? 8- vs 10-bit? 4:2:0 or 4:2:2?
