FS5: Sony PXW-FX6

Not got a FX6 yet but I did pick up a couple of these Anglebird V90 SDXC cards here in the UK a few weeks back (when they were a bit less than the current price). I normally buy only Sandisk Extreme Pro cards - but none are rated (officially) at V90, last time I looked. I will probably also buy 1 or 2 of those Sony Tough 80GB Expresstype A cards for certain codec/high frame rates not supported by V90 SDXCs.

I foolishly sold my Angelbird V90s for next to nothing because I thought I needed the Cfast Type A cards for the FX6. The V90s do everything!

I'm still thinking about buying one of these, i'd probably get naff all for my FS7, not that it matters as it paid for itself many times over.

I've been looking what I'll need to add on and I think memory cards are the main sticking point. What's the consensus about cards to use?

I've been looking around for cheaper memory cards and just found the 80gb Sony CF-A for £179 (including VAT) here in the UK if anyone is interested?

I think the Angelbirds are excellent. But as recommended earlier in the thread I bought and had zero issues at all framerates and resolutions with https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08586LXN3 is as cheap as can be.

Thanks Ben - I remember now that highly useful info!

I've also got my eye on these Delkin cards as they seem to circumvent most of the issues with fragility of SDHC/SDXC cards - but would want some user reports with the FX6 (ideally) before buying some as it's not a brand I touch/have any experience of.

EDIT: Hi again Ben - amazon uk link in your post immediately above doesn't work (unfortunately). Was it this card??? (I book marked it a week of so back, perhaps because of your post before)

I have also the Kingston V90 :). Works perfectly.
I noticed that the price of the 128G on amazon is not stable. On Amazon.fr it varies between 100 and 130€, I ordered it @ 100.
For the CF-A I will wait other manufacturers than Sony
(Ben's link is Ok, you just need to remove the 'which' at the end :))
