Sony PWW-F3 - $13,300 USD

That is not a bad price at all, I think Sony knew that even though the S35 Scarlet is not here yet they could steal some RED potential customers if they came in with a competitive price.

Although I still can't afford this camera it's making me excited about the nxcam possibilities. If it shares the same sensor as the f3 and falls within the $4-7000 price range it will be tought to beat.

This is a good price and I think it could compete with both with the more stuff (red 1 etc...) and chepaer one as well (af100 etc..)

I don't know if you saw this already but the blog bellow has some nice pics of the lenses and some tests made with them:

I don't see anywhere "tests made with them" no one has confirmed that the raw footage was shot with those lenses or not yet, unless I missed something. The footage is nice and clean though.

This is a great price, but I wonder how much Sony will ask for the 1TB Memory Cards being developed for this camera. If a 32GB SxS costs about $800…

Very few things will need the 1TB card. This camera supports SDHC cards in an Express card adapter, just like the EX1/3. Hooray!

Not a bad price! Glad they settled on an absolutely reasonable number here. Just a bit over the EX3 - and a lot of added value.

That price is amazing. I was about to pay the Euro price for it when it first was announced. I wonder if Sony has something else to fill the 20-40K market. Aren't they coming out with a 4K sensor?

Oh my... So we have an Alexa competitor at less than 1/3 the price?

I would not call this an Alexa competitor. There is a long list of Alexa benefits. Better resolution, higher dynamic range, anamorphic support.... more rugged and shoulder ergonomics.... plus the people who can afford a $60K+ camera are looking at the Red Epic and Alexa.. not really this Sony... but who knows... with the F3 and dual sdi 4:4:4 maybe :)

"The clips were shot with the Sony 50mm PL lens. - Alister Chapman"

Some press photos of the event with the girl and fake trees show the F3 with Sony lenses mounted onto them. It's unlikely he put something else onto it. Plus I'll take his word for it :)

Giuseppe, please read the comments here:

He shot those few tests with the 50mm Kit lense. There is a picture of the lenses and the camera he used here:

I also heard these lenses use the same glasses of the CP.2 but are made of plastic and lack markers. Can't confirm the glasses though...

people do realize this is the cheapest camera in the world to give you a s35 sensor and dual link 444 out right? this camera is out of control.
