F5: Sony official LUTs over saturated?

To me, the 709 looks better. The colors actually pretty different as the 709 LUT has this nice greenish-blueish tint that I really like. Gives it a bit more stylization. The manually color corrected version looks more realistic which is fine as well, if that's what you're going for.

Any word on ACES support for the FS7, well anyone try enabling ACES color space in Resolve and then selecting slog3 for input and REC709 for output? I dabbled with this on my F55 but soon afterwards just settled for using LC709A or Kodak 2383.

I'm really into pastel colours at the moment Gene. However, It would be very easy to get a more punch look using manually cc . But hopefully my quick test will show there's more than one way to skin a cat :)

I recall an old thread by Nate on the F55 Sony Community Site saying something to the effect that the LUTs were created with the F55 in mind and looked saturated when applied to F5 footage. This may hold true for the FS7 footage too.

Nope. LC709 & A, they work equally well on F5 and F55. Some misunderstanding of whatever I typed...
