GH2 Sony NEX-7/A77 - serious competitors for the GH2?

So his Canon point and shoot is better than the Apsc Nikon D7000 and Canon 7d. I can't understand that amount of fud. In the dpreview review, the gh2 more than holds its own. It concur with my own experience using a Nikon d300 and Canon 7D. If you don't zoom all your photos 400% the difference are marginal. Now don't hold your gh2 after having hold the Nikon or Canon, this is nasty experience :-)

The sample clips of the A77 have been very disappointing so far. But I have read that these clips were shot with the firmware 0.58 + 0.65. Some guys mentioned now that the IQ has been improved with the firmware 1.0. So, there is still some hope...

If you remember, the first examples shot with the 7d and T2i were a bit disappointing too. We won't really know what this camera is capable of until it is in the hands of the public or someone like Philip Bloom.

To today's standard, I would say that the 7d image quality is poor. Yes there are lot of lovely things that have been done because these Canons where the only affordable camera around with the Cinema S35 look. These standards will fade away very fast with the new crop of S35 camera like the fs100. Now the hack gh2 is the truly 2 or 3rd generation hdslr technology.

+1, although I wouldn't say "poor" just "obsolete"
