I'm not sure where to post this...I chose the 7d forum, because I had posted earlier about the Sony announcement. It was a disappointing annoucement, but....here's an update:
One of my friends works in a camera shop. He was visiting with the Sony rep. This Sony rep SWORE that in the next few months, Sony was going to "Smoke what Nikon and Canon are doing with their DSLRs as far as video goes."
To be honest, I don't really know that I believe any such thing, BUT....I do hope Sony throws their hat in the ring. Sooner or later, the raw competition (between the Big corps) is going to push these guys to "go to far"...and actually put some REAL effort into these cameras.
I am VERY excited to see RED moving forward. I'm not counting on anything from them for the next year, but again....I think the more pressure for innovation/competition...the better it is for us all.
So...has anyone else heard anything about Sony's HDSLR upcoming stuff? How would Sony's stuff compare to the 7d?
