Sony HXR-NX5U

Has anyone read reliable reviews of this camera? How does it stack up against Panasonic's HMC150? I need long recording time capability of at least 1.5hrs at a time. Is this camera worth my consideration? Thanks for any and all reported experiences and learned opinions.

Both camcorders have strong and weak points. Depends on what your priorities are.
You can do 1,5hrs on both camcorders when using a 32GB SDHC (up to 3hrs on max quality). NX5 has the advantage of dual slot cards, relay recording. the optional Flash Memory Unit records up to 11 hours of continuous footage.
I have an NX5E, doing mostly weddings. I like Pana too... if I had both to try before purchasing NX5 maybe I would have chosen Pana. There are strong points on Sony but I can do my job without them eventually and the 1500 euros difference in price would have stayed in my pocket. But I like my Sony anyway. Thanks Cristi. Reviewing other posts, it seems that I need to do more research on CMOS and revolving shutters v.s. Panasonic's method of image sensing. I agree that the cost savings between the two could result in a few nice accessories.
