Sony FS700R and 7Q Color balance setting

When shooting Raw>ProRes or Raw to Cinema DNG 0n a 7Q does the color balance setting on the camera change the signal to the 7Q? I don't seem to see much difference in the 7Q file when changing the camera settings from 5000K to 3200K. I assume it would change the look of the internal record?

My understanding is that white balance isn't baked in to the signal.

C'mon guys, this is like the easiest thing you could possibly test for yourselves. How about you try it and see?
